    REGULATORY INFORMATION Regulatory Requirements REGULATORY INFORMATION REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has established rules that permit the PBX to be directly connected to the telephone network. A jack is provided on party lines or coin lines. The telephone company may make changes in its technical operations and procedures. If such changes affect the compatibility or use of the PBX, the telephone company must provide adequate notice of the changes.

On the bottom of the equipment is a label that states, among other information, the FCC Registration Number and Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) for the equipment. If requested, this information should be provided to the telephone company.

The equipment must also be installed using an acceptable method of connection. In some cases, the company’s inside wiring associated with a single line individual service may be extended by means of a certified connector assembly (telephone extension cord).

This equipment complies with Canadian Standards Association’s standard C 22.2 No. 225. Safety Considerations When using telephone equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.
