Remove the screw covers (2). The screw covers are included in the Screw Cover Kit, spare part numbers L76599-001 (in mineral silver finish) and L73740-001 (in natural silver finish). Remove the two Phillips M2.0×4.2 screws (3) that secure the bottom cover to the computer. Remove the five Phillips M2.0×7.7 screws (4) that secure the bottom cover to the computer.
Remove the bottom cover (3). Reverse this procedure to install the bottom cover. Remove the system board (2) by sliding it up and to the left at an angle. NOTE: The thermal material must be thoroughly cleaned from the surfaces of the keyboard/top cover and the system board components each time the system board is removed. A thermal pad is used on the processor (1) and the keyboard/top cover section (2) that services it.

Release the display panel cable from the retention clip (7) and routing channel built into the keyboard/top cover. Backing up, resetting, and recovering Backing up You can back up data to an optional USB flash drive or SD memory card or through Google Drive™. For detailed information about creating a backup, go to http://www.support.google.com. Resetting A factory reset erases all the information on the computer, including all the files in the Downloads folder. Before resetting the computer, make sure to back up all files to an optional USB flash drive, SD memory card, or through Google Drive.
Recovering When your Chrome operating system (OS) isn’t working properly, you can perform a recovery. A recovery reinstalls the operating system and software programs and restores the original factory settings. Locally saved files and saved networks are deleted for all accounts. Your Google accounts and any data synced to your Google Drive are not affected by a system recovery.
Recovering the Chrome operating system To recover the Chrome operating system on your computer using the recovery media you created: Disconnect any external devices connected to the computer, plug in the power cord, and then turn on the computer. To enter recovery mode, press and hold esc+f3, and then press the power button. When the “Chrome OS is missing or damaged”...
Power cord set requirements The wide-range input feature of the computer permits it to operate from any line voltage from 100 to 120 V AC, or from 220 to 240 V AC. The 3-conductor power cord set included with the computer meets the requirements for use in the country or region where the equipment is purchased.
