DVG-G1402S User’s Manual Wireless Installation Considerations The D-Link DVG-G1402S lets you access your network, using a wireless connection, from virtually anywhere within its operating range. Keep in mind, however, that the number, thickness and location of walls, ceilings, or other objects that the wireless signals must pass through, may limit the range.
If your computer connects directly to a DSL or Cable modem and does not connect to a router, follow the steps below to install your DVG-G1402S. After the steps are completed, your setup should look similar to the diagram below.

Attach one end of the phone cable to a standard analog telephone. Attach the other end of this cable to phone port “1” on the rear of the DVG-G1402S. Connect the Power Adapter to the Power Connecter on the DVG-G1402S.
