Configuring the Camera The camera is configured using the on-screen display (OSD) menus. You can connect a portable monitor during installation using the supplied adapter cable. To display the OSD main menu, press the OSD controller joystick located on the camera control board. - Page 6 The camera has the following OSD menu structure: 1. EXPOSURE 2. COLOR 3. Exposure Menu LENS Note Only DC mode is supported at this time. Choosing MANUAL mode may cause the camera to operate incorrectly. Select DC. Set the BRIGHTNESS (0–20). The higher the number, the brighter the image will appear. Set the SHUTTER speed (1/60–1/120000). Note The SENSE-UP menu cannot be controlled if the SHUTTER setting is... - Page 8 BACKLIGHT Backlight Compensation (BLC) prevents subjects in defined areas of the scene from appearing too dark when backlighting is present. Highlight Masking Exposure (HME) masks bright areas of the scene to allow objects to appear clearly. BACKLIGHT is set to OFF by default. To enable this feature, select BLC or HME. If BLC is selected: Set LEVEL to LOW, MIDDLE, or HIGH.
- Page 9 WDR/DEFOG WDR/DEFOG is set to OFF by default. To enable this feature, select D-WDR or DEFOG. Set D-WDR or DEFOG to AUTO or MANUAL. • If AUTO is selected, the WDR or DEFOG level is set automatically based on the environment.
- Page 10 SENSE-UP Note The SENSE-UP menu cannot be controlled if the SHUTTER setting is above 1/60. Sense-Up automatically activates slow shutter function when a scene is too dark. Set SENSE-UP to OFF or to a value from×2 to ×512. Selecting a value over ×4 is not recommended as it may cause the image to lag.

Color Menu WHITE BAL. Set WHITE BAL. to ATW, PUSH, or MANUAL. • Auto Tracking White Balance mode compensates for color temperature changes between 2500 K and 9500 K. • PUSH Push mode fixes the white balance based on current lighting. For best results, place a white surface (such as a piece of paper) in front of camera during adjustment. -

Day&Night Menu D&N MODE Set D&N MODE to AUTO, COLOR, or B&W. • AUTO Camera automatically switches between day and night mode depending on the light level. • COLOR Camera remains in day mode, regardless of the light level. • B&W Camera remains in night mode, regardless of the light level. - Page 13 Set EXT SIGNAL to CDS or LOW/HIGH. • CDS: Camera switches between day and night mode depending on the CDS signal level. • LOW/HIGH: Camera switches between day and night mode depending on the CDS’s low/high signal. Function Menu MIRROR MIRROR flips the image horizontally. Set MIRROR to OFF or MIRROR. SHARPNESS SHARPNESS sets the sharpness of the image. The higher the number, the sharper the image. Set SHARPNESS (0–30). GAMMA GAMMA sets the gamma level of the image. Set GAMMA (0.35–0.7). -

Motion Menu You can create up to 4 motion detection areas. When the camera detects movement within the defined area, an alarm notification appears on the screen. MOTION Set MOTION to OFF or ON to disable or enable motion detection. SENSITIVITY Set SENSITIVITY (0–20). -

MOTION SET Select MOTION SET to set up a motion detection area. Set AREA NO. to the motion detection area that you want to set up (1–4). Set AREA USE to ON. The motion detection area appears as a shaded box on the screen. -
Page 18: Privacy Menu
Privacy Menu You can create up to 8 privacy masks to conceal parts of the scene from view. COLOR The privacy mask color is set to BLACK by default. To change the privacy mask color, set COLOR to one of the following: GRAY-1, GRAY-2, GRAY-3, GRAY-4, WHITE, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, RED, CYAN, or MAGENTA. - Page 19 PRIVACY SET Select PRIVACY SET to set up a privacy mask. Set AREA NO. to the privacy mask that you want to set up (1–8). Set DISPLAY to ON. The privacy mask appears as a solid box on the screen. Adjust the values for TOP, BOTTOM, LEFT, and RIGHT to set the size and position of the privacy mask.

Setup Menu CAM TITLE Set CAM TITLE to ON or OFF to show or hide the camera title on the screen. Select ON to customize the camera title. Select characters using the OSD controller joystick. COMMUNICA. Select COMMUNICA. to set up the camera’s ID, baud rate, protocol, and UTC settings. - Page 21 FONT COLOR The following colors are available for the OSD menu: BLUE, GREEN, CYAN, RED, MAGENTA, YELLOW, BLACK, and GRAY. SPECIAL Note For advanced users only. To define Optical Low Pass Filter (OLPF) settings, select SPECIAL, and then set O.L.P.F. to BLUE, RED, or PASS.

Exit Menu SAVE Select SAVE to exit the OSD after saving the current settings. RESTORE Select RESTORE to exit the OSD without saving recent changes. INITIAL Select INITIAL to exit the OSD after resetting the camera to factory defaults. -
