Foreword Caution Motors should be connected-up according to the circuit diagram provided. They must not be connected directly to the three-phase supply because this will damage them. SIMODRIVE and SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES drive units with AC motors are subject, as part of the type test, to a voltage test corresponding to EN 50178. According to EN 60204-1, Section 19.4, while electrical equipment of industrial machines are being subject to a voltage test, all of the SIMODRIVE and SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES drive unit connections must be disconnected/withdrawn in order to avoid damaging the SIMODRIVE and SIMOVERT...
