Working Instructions
Before performing any work on the machine it-
self, disconnect the air supply.
Setting the Torque
Unscrew the cover screw 2 (Figure
With an open-ended spanner, turn the tool holder 10
until a small slot in the clutch is visible in the opening
of the housing. Do not mistake the flattened side of the
round nut 12 for the slot. Insert the locking hook 11
into this slot and lock the clutch.
Hold the machine and, with the open-ended spanner,
adjust the torque by turning the tool holder 10 or
clamp the tool holder 10 in a vice and set the torque
by rotating the machine.
After setting the torque, remove the locking hook 11
and screw in the cover screw 2 again.
Turning in the clockwise direction results in a higher
torque, in the counter clockwise direction, a lower
toque.
Caution!
For soft bolting actions, the clutch no longer
ratchets even for low torque settings.
After the adjustment
Adapt the torque by means of trial boltings for the spe-
cific bolting action (hard, middle, soft). Check the
torque with an electronic torque measuring instrument
or a torque wrench.
For higher torques, a correspondingly greater
counter force is necessary.
With a clamping device in the area 7, this counter
force can more easily be counteracted.

countering surface. For this
purpose, attach the hanging

Reversing Rotational Direction
Right rotation: Turn the setting ring 6 in the direction
of the R arrow to the stop.
Left rotation:
Turn the setting ring 6 in the direction
of the L arrow to the stop.
Adjusting the Angle Head
The angle head together with the tool holder 10 is ad-
justable by 360°.
It is recommended that the tool holder 10 be clamped
in a vice. Hook the hook spanner into one of the open-
ings in the sleeve nut 9 and turn to the right to loosen
the sleeve nut.
Loosen the sleeve nut to about half of the threads on
the machine. Pull the angle head out of the machine,
set to the desired working angle and push back in

again.
Then screw on the sleeve nut 9 again and tighten with
the hook spanner.
Connection to the Extraction Equipment
After removing the silencer 3, a hose can be connect-
ed to the air outlet that leads away the exhaust air.
Advantages:
–
Noise reduction
–
No contamination of the working area by stirred
up dust
–
Exhaust air led away.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before performing any work on the machine itself,
disconnect the air supply.
Keep the machine and the tool holder clean at all times.
If the machine should happen to fail despite the care
taken in manufacture and testing, repair should be
carried out by an authorised customer services agent
for Bosch pneumatic tools.
For all correspondence and spare parts orders, always
include the 10-digit order number of the machine.

Clean regularly the screen on the air inlet of the machine.
In the clamping
For this purpose, unscrew the hose connection piece 4
of
the
hanging
and remove dust and dirt particles from the screen.
Then firmly remount the hose connection piece.
Wash out the gearbox with petroleum after the first ap-
prox. 150 hours of operation and then every 300 hours
of operation and lubricate with special gearbox grease.
Lubricate the moving parts of the clutch after approx.
each 100 000 bolting operations with a few drops of
SAE 10 / SAE 20 motor oil. Grease the sliding and
rolling parts with Molycote grease. Check the clutch
adjustment afterwards.
Any Bosch customer service centre can perform this
work quickly and reliably.
Dispose of lubricants and cleaning agents in an
environmentally correct manner. Observe legal
regulations.
