  • Page 7 With this printer, you can print basic business documents in color or black and white, as well as print on a variety of specialty media, such as Canon High Resolution Paper (ideal for documents that include large numbers of color illustrations), Canon Glossy Photo Paper or Canon Photo Paper Pro (for digital photographs) and Canon Transparencies (for presentations).

  • Page 11 5. Slide the paper guide to the edge of the media until it is firmly in place. You can load up to 100 sheets of plain (17 lb.) paper or 80 sheets of Canon High Resolution Paper in the paper rest at one time. Never load the paper above the load limit mark.

Replace the printer cable. Check that the ink tanks have been firmly seated in the printhead, and reseat the ink tanks if necessary.

The printer has a built-in waste ink tank to hold the ink consumed during printhead cleaning. Eight flashes indicates that this tank is nearly full. Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to restart printing, then contact the Customer Care Center to have the waste ink tank replaced immediately.
