Switch on the appliance.

petrol or acetone to clean the appliance.

Switch off the appliance.

Flip the cutting unit open.

Clean the cutting unit and the hair chamber
with the brush supplied. (Fig. 8)
Close the cutting unit by pushing it back onto

the appliance ('click').
Replacement
If the cutting unit is damaged or worn, always
replace it with the original Philips cutting unit.

Flip the cutting unit open.
Remove the old cutting unit by pulling it

upwards.
Place the two lugs of the new cutting unit

into the guiding slots. (Fig. 9)
Push the cutting unit onto the appliance

('click') (Fig. 10).
