7.2 Switch on charging station
1. Connect the CCS plug to the CCS inlet of the vehicle.
2. Ensure that the charging unit is in cable test mode.
– HMI displays - Cable test
– The voltage rises to almost 500 V within a few seconds and then goes down to 0 V.
3. Ensure that the charging unit is in pre-charge mode.
– HMI displays - Pre-charge.
– Voltage ramps up to vehicle battery voltage.
4. Ensure that the charging unit is in current demand mode.
– Load HMI displays.
– Current ramps up to meet the demand of the vehicle.
5. End the session using the dedicated stop button on the HMI.
– Charging process stops.
– Charge finished is displayed on the HMI.
Note
The charging station response of 100 % depends on the request from the vehicle.
• If the vehicle requests the charging process to stop at 100 %, the charging station stops.
• If the vehicle request does not stop the charging process at 100 %, the charging station will
continue with the process. The customer then has to stop the process.
7.2
Switch on charging station
To start up the charging station, switch on the power supply to the charging station.
Qualified personnel
Only a qualified and trained electrician may work on SICHARGE UC.
Injury or damage to property
If the charging plug is not inserted in the plug holder before commissioning, the charging plug
can cause injury or damage to property when switched on.
• Before switching on the charging station, make sure that the charging plug is in the plug
• Leave the charging plug in the plug holder during the entire switch-on process.
