Interface Configuration
The Interface Configuration area consists of a single panel which displays the interface configuration of
the selected interface object.

Out Discarded Pkts.—The number of outbound packets that were chosen to be discarded even
though no errors had been detected to prevent them from being transmitted. One possible reason for
discarding such a packet is to free up buffer space.
In Bits/Sec—Five-minute exponentially decayed moving average of input bits per second.
Out Bits/Sec—Five-minute exponentially decayed moving average of output bits per second.
In Error Pkts.—The number of inbound packets that contained errors that prevented them from being
deliverable to a higher-layer protocol.
Out Error Pkts.—Number of outbound packets that could not be transmitted because of errors.
In Dropped Pkts.—The number of packets dropped because the input queue was full.
Out Dropped Pkts.—The number of packets dropped because the output queue was full.
Clear Counters button—Clears the values of the Performance area attributes. Performance data
collection restarts at that time and the Performance area attributes update accordingly.
Command—The selected command. This attribute is read-only. This attribute has one of the
following values:

Command Table—Presents data according to the Command list selection. If the options selection is
