P6350 EVA storage system or an HP P6500 EVA
storage system to an HP P6550 EVA storage system.

Kit contents

The upgrade kit contains:
Four DIMMs
Two battery modules
An array-based management module
A bezel
Three labels

Before you begin

IMPORTANT:
in the order listed in this document.
Verify that the storage system is operating correctly,
including virtual disks and DR groups.
Observe proper antistatic guidelines.
Inspect the upgrade kit, verify its contents and that it
is the correct kit for your storage system.
Using HP P6000 Command View, verify the controller
cache size and record it. At the end of the installation,
you will use this information as a comparison to verify
that the update was successful.
This upgrade will take 1.5 hours or more. You must
shut down the storage system for part of that time.

  • Page 2: Remove Controller

    For instructions, see the HP P6000 Command View out slightly. See Figure 1 (page Installation Guide and the HP P6000 EVA Updating Product Software Guide. Position one hand under the module, and with the other hand, pull the module out of the controller enclosure.

    Do not cover the original warranty https://ip_address:2373 and verify that bundle serial number label. the HP P6000 Control Panel GUI is accessible. From HP P6000 Command View: Navigate to the controller, and verify that the Powering up the storage system status is (Good).
