    Operating the Monitor Turning on the Monitor Press the button to turn on the monitor. Using the Front Panel Controls Use the control buttons on the front of the monitor to adjust the characteristics of the image being displayed. As you use these buttons to adjust the controls, an OSD shows the numeric values of the characteristics as they change.

  • Page 31 Menu and Icon Description Submenus Auto Adjust Even though your computer recognizes your monitor on startup, the Auto Adjustment function optimizes the display settings for use with your particular setup. Auto Adjustment allows the monitor to self-adjust to the incoming video signal. After using Auto Adjustment, you can further tune your monitor by using the Pixel Clock (Coarse) and Phase (Fine) controls under Display menu.

Input Color Allows you to set the video input mode to: Format RGB: Select this option if your monitor is connected to a computer (or DVD player) using the HDMI cable; or MHL devices using the MHL cable.

DDC/CI DDC/CI (Display Data Channel/Command Interface) allows you to adjust the monitor settings using software on your computer. Select Disable to turn off this feature.

Self-Test Your monitor provides a self-test feature that allows you to check whether your monitor is functioning properly. If your monitor and computer are properly connected but the monitor screen remains dark, run the monitor self-test by performing the following steps: Turn off both your computer and the monitor.
