Installing a RAID controller

The Toshiba Magnia 3310/3310R server supports MegaRAID
controllers.
When replacing the cache memory backup battery, be sure to install it properly.
Failure to install the battery properly can cause it to explode. For instructions, refer
to
Replacing the internal battery
Dispose of the spent battery as required by local ordinances or regulations.
Installing the MegaRAID 320 Series RAID controller

If the server is in operation, shut it down. Then remove the access panel. For
detailed instructions, read Steps 1 through 4 in
Installing the RAID controller while the power is on may damage both the server
and the RAID controller.

Disconnect the SCSI cable from the motherboard.
To avoid damaging the SCSI cable, grasp the cable connector when disconnecting
the cable.
